Cryoglobulinemia or cold antibody in the blood is a medical condition caused b proteins named cryoglobulins present in the blood, which are not soluble at low temperatures. It can be associated with hepatitis C and multiple myeloma or lymphoma.
Cryoglobulinemia that cause damage and inflammation of the blood vessels throughout the body is part of a group of diseases . Type I, II, III are three main types of cryoglobulinemia based on the antibody produced. Types II and III are also referred to as mixed cryoglobulinemia. Types II and III are found in people who have a chronic inflammatory condition, such as an autoimmune disease or hepatitis C. Most people with this form of the disease have a chronic hepatitis C infection. Kidney disease is less common.
