Have strong experience on working with signal transduction pathways during my Ph.D.
Specifically, worked on the regulation gene expression by Nuclear Receptors and Transcription
factors. Found that Orphan nuclear receptor DAX-1 can control the gluconeogensis and lipogenesis
mediated by the Orphan Nuclear Receptor HNF4a and LXRa, respectively. Got very nice in vivo
training (mice experiments) during my Postdoctoral period. Working on different projects related
to the role of transcription factors in polycystic kidney disease and metabolism. Generated a new
X-gene-Knockout mice to investigate its role in various physiological functions. Performed
Tandem affinity purification (TAP) followed by Mass-spec analysis and identified some novel
interacting proteins with our protein interest. Conclusively, I have the lot of experiences in
exploring the regulation gene expression by nuclear receptors/transcription factors in various
physiological functions and metabolic disorders.
