Immunity is a state of having sufficient biological defenses to avoid infection, disease, or other unwanted biological invasion and is related to the functions of the immune system. The immune system has beencalled the ?Pacemaker?of life. The Immunomodulatory activity of methanolic extract of Pedalium murex, Plyllanthus acidus, and Bridelia retusa were undertaken on Swiss albino mice and Wister rats of mixed population. The assessment of immunomodulatory activity was carried out by various hematological and serological tests like determine phagocytic activity, humoral antibody response, and cell mediated immune response using carbon clearance test, sheep erythrocyte agglutination method and delayed type of hyper sensitivity reaction. In this study, different doses (100, 200 and 400mg/kg body weight/day) of the methanolic extract of the plants showed significant activity and increased phagocytic response, both cellular and humoral antibody response, the result were compared with control and standard drug (levamisole).The activity reported was dose dependent and set of data was analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Newman-Keul Multiple Comparison testp values <0.05 were considered significant. It has been concluded that the test extract possess promising immunostimulant properties.

He has completed his PhD from Kakatiya University and Masters Degree in Dept.of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Andhra University. Area of research includes phytochemical and pharmacological investigation of herbal drugs in Immunomodulatory and Anti-fertility diabetes. He has attended manynational and international conferences. He has guided several UG and PG students in their research projects and has published various papers in the Journals of repute.
