Introduction: The implementation of a planned health- teaching model in patients receiving chemotherapy can alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy and thus can increase the quality of the patients�?? lives. Aim: This study was to evaluate the effect of an implementing health- teaching module on the severity of chemotherapy side effects for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients. Methods: A quasi-experimental (study control) research design was utilized. The study was carried out in Oncology Institute in Damietta City (inpatient and outpatient). Sample & Tools: The data were collected from 80 adult patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma of both sexes randomized selected who corresponded to inclusion criteria and divided into two groups. Medical tools were used in this study. Result: It reveals that increased total knowledge score regarding the disease, chemotherapy and its side effects of studied patients in the study group as compared to the control group at posttest and follow-up phase. Also, there were statistically significant decreases in the severity of side effects of chemotherapy in the study group as compared to control group. Conclusion: The implementation of health teaching module about side effects of chemotherapy has a positive effect on patients' total knowledge scores regarding chemotherapy. It helped them to alleviate the severity of side effect of chemotherapy.
