Dysplastic nevi have been a clinical and histologic challenge for more than 30 years. The highest priority questions are: what are the current options for management and how aggressive does the clinician need to be? What are the risks and outcomes? Reviewing the most recent literature should help give some guidelines for management, knowing however that each individual patient situation is unique to that patient and cannot be generalized.
Michael J Bernhardt MD has completed his MD at the age of 24 years from Emory University. He did his Dermatology residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He has been in in clinical practice in North Florida, director for the last 34 years, he has been teaching faculty at the University of Florida as well as St Vincents Medical Center and is Currently an associate clinical professor at the FSU School of Medicine.
