Adam Whaley-Connell is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. He is a Staff Physician at the Harry S Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia. He received his B.S from Truman State University in 1996 and his DO from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2001. He then went on to complete a Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2004. This was followed by combined nephrology and family and community medicine research fellowship in the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Center. Dr. Whaley-Connell has received the Young Alumni Achievement Award from KCUMB, the Young Scholar Award from the American Society of Hypertension and the University of Missouri Provost′s Outstanding Research and Creativity Award. He has published over 100 peer reviewed manuscripts and serves on 5 editorial boards as well as ad-hoc reviewing for numerous other biomedical journals.
