Dr. Dhanani is a Research Scientist in the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the Florida A&M University, USA. Currently, his research focuses on the development of nutraceuticals derived from muscadine berries to promote gut health, treat obesity, and slow prostate cancer progression. In his postdoctoral research, he worked on expression, purification and characterization of venom peptides and chemicals that target ion channels. Additionally, he also applied non-destructive techniques such as near-infrared and Raman spectroscopy for assessing the quality of horticulture produces and diagnosing plant diseases. Dr. Dhanani persuade PhD in Analytical Chemistry from ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, India. He is primarily interested in optimization of extraction using SFE, ASE and isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites, HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS based plant metabolomics, traditional medicines, and nutraceuticals. His research also focuses on exploiting plant compounds for human health
