Dr. Taro Shimizu completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Tokyo, Japan in 2007, followed by Chief Medical Resident with high reputation at Sakai Municipal Hospital in 2008, which is one of the best teaching hospitals across Japan. He was considered as “one of the very best residents here in quite sometimes”. In the same year, he founded and launched a nation-wide conference for young physicians, spearheading clinical research and teaching. This is now one of the largest national conferences for young physicians.
His research interest is on diagnostic medicine reflecting his clinical experience. His several pieces of diagnostic strategies, such as “Pivot and Cluster Strategy”, “System 3 diagnostic approach”, “Lateral Vertical Tracing” have already been internationally recognized as highly effective diagnostic measures to reach a correct diagnosis as well as avoiding diagnostic errors.
Starting from 2009 and until today, reflecting his clinical and research experience, he started his teaching tour for medical students and physicians across world as visiting position including visiting clinical lecturer of 21 medical university, 10 teaching hospitals. Also, Dr. Shimizu was appointed to Visiting professor of Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan) in 2011.
He earned his Medical Doctor (MD) at National Ehime University, Japan; Master of Public Health (MPH) at Emory University, USA; Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Bond University, Australia.
