Dr. T Brett Reece attended college at Dartmouth followed by completion of his medical Degree at the University of Virginia. He completed his general surgical training at the University of Virginia, during which he completed a two year research fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. He went on to finish his cardiothoracic training at the University of Colorado and Aortic surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania. He now serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Colorado, where he leads a cutting edge open and endovascular program with special interest in the aggressive management of aortic dissections. Parallel to his clinical interests, he has expanded upon his experience as a resident by building basic science research program in spinal cord injury related to aortic surgery. He enthusiastically participates in medical education ranging from medical students through fellows.
