Dr. Shao is currently an associate professor in the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, The Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University, Sweden. Dr. Shao trained as a cellular and molecular biologist and received his PhD in 2005 from Gothenburg University. The focus of Dr. Shao’s current research is focusing on investigation of the molecular aetiology of tubal ectopic pregnancy including the interaction between signals derived from the Fallopian tube and endometrium for blastocyst implantation and the role of nuclear receptor signalling. Research is also being focused on the dynamics of reproductive systems, how these are influenced by environmental factors, and links with metabolism and disease risk in humans. He has published 29 scientific papers and been peer reviewer for 16 scientific journals
