Quyen D. Chu, MD, FACS. is currently the Chief of Surgical Oncology at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport and the Albert Sklar Endowed Professor of Surgery. He has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals, edited and translated a 600 page WHO book, “Surgical Care at the District Hospital” into Vietnamese, written seven book chapters, and presented over 100 times. He is a PI or co-PI on 9 grants, a reviewer for the NIH 2009 Challenge Grant and for the Department of Defense Congressionally-Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
Dr. Chu’s clinical expertise is on breast, esophageal, and hepatopancreatobiliary cancers. His area of scientific expertise is in the field of chemokine receptor CXCR4, and oncolytic viruses for breast and pancreatic cancers.
