Kamran Hosseini MD, PhD serves as Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at InSite Vision Inc., where he oversees preclinical and clinical research. Dr. Hosseini is also a co-founder of KMG Pharma, an ophthalmic drug delivery specialty company. He was a Director of Ophthalmology at ALZA Corporation, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. While Dr. Hosseini′s main interest is in ocular drug delivery, his pioneering work with non-invasive drug monitoring in the eye using Raman Spectroscopy has won the highest award from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Hosseini received his M.D. from the University of Groningen Faculty of Medicine, The Netherlands; and his Ph.D. as part of a joint program at the University of Texas, Medical Branch in Galveston and the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. He completed a post doctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Reviewer for 3 scientific journals. 35 + scientific papers and presentations.
