Dr. Yunhan Hong received his PhD in 1992 at the University of Göttingen, Germany. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore and a full professor of Hunan Normal University. He was a full professor at the Wuhan University (2004-2008) and the Institute of Hydrobiology Wuhan, Chinese of Academy of Sciences (2001-2003). He has authored more than 90 refereed publications including book chapters.
Dr. Yunhan Hong Research interests includes Centers on cell fate decision, stem cells, germ cells, developmental genomics, gene targeting, sex determination and differentiation, chimera biology, fish models of reproductive technology, organogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, and evolution. After first non-murine ES cells from the fish medaka, he generated normal medaka male germ stem cells and test-tube sperm, and recently haploid ES cells and Holly the semicloned fish.
