Carlo Melloni received his medical degree (Summa com laude) at University of Palermo 2010 where he remained for his Plastic Surgery residency. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He's the Chairman and Founder of the newborn EuRePS Association (European Residents in Plastic Surgery) and member of EADO (European Association of Dermato Oncology) and MBC (Euro-Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters).
He presented more than 30 papers to national and international meetings in the fields of Plastic Surgery, Dermatology and Urology. He is the Principal investigator of several clinical studies. Currently he is the head of the Gender Team (www.genderteam.it) a center for genital reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
Carlo Melloni research interests are in aesthetic surgery (especially rhinoplasty), reconstructive surgery, genital and perineal surgery and gender reassignment surgery (MTF and FTM).
