Dr. Daniela Kniepeiss had her university education in Medicine at the Medical University Graz, Austria. From 1999 – 2005 she was Fellow in General Surgery and Subspeciality Training in Transplantation at the Department of Transplant Surgery, Medical University Graz, Austria. In 2004 D. Kniepeiss attended a Surgical Training in Living Donor Liver Transplantation in Seoul and Kyoto and in 2008 a Surgical Training in Pancreas Transplantation at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria. Dr. Kniepeiss is author of several research articles in the field of organ transplantation and is reviewer of reputed Journals like “Liver Transplantation”, “Transplant International” or “Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation”. Since 2011 she is mentor of the “Women in Transplantation Board” of the “Transplantation Society”. Furthermore she is responsible for quality management and is a certified clinical risk manager.
Dr. Daniela Kniepeiss Research interests includes Reperfusion methods in liver transplantation, Early detection of renal dysfunction in patients after liver transplantation, Tolerance induction in a mouse model, Transplantation in elderly patients, Gender and Transplantation.
