Dr. Cherif N Boutros chief of surgical oncology at BWMC received his medical degree from Alexandria University in Egypt and completed a full surgical training as well as a Master of Surgical Science at Paris University. He completed an internship in general surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University in New York City and residency in general surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Boutros also completed an accredited surgical oncology fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence Rhode Island and received additional training in hepatobilary and pancreatic surgery at the Hepatobiliary Center at Paul Brousse Hospital in Paris, France. Dr. Boutros has a special interest in the treatment and research of gastrointestinal surgical pathologies and hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers.
