Professor Byeong-Churl Jang graduated from Chungnam National University, Korea, and earned a PhD degree at Louisiana State University, USA. After 3 years of the postdoctoral training at Center for Vascular Biology, University of Connecticut Health Center, USA, he was appointed as Research Professor (2002-2005), Full-Time Instructor (2005-2007), Assistant Professor (2007-2011), and Associate Professor (2011-2017) at Department of Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine, Keimyung University, Korea. He is currently a Professor in Keimyung University. He has published over 90 papers on the natural/synthetic chemicals screening for anti-obesity activity (anti-adipogenesis) and anti-cancer and elucidation of their mode of action at the molecular/cellular/signaling levels.
