- Major study 1: design of a novel method to map R-loops in a genome-wide fashion (method called “DREAM-seq”)
and study of R-loops in cells and mice depleted for selected transcription factors.
- Major study 2: development of a melanoma mouse model generated upon depletion of two key transcription
factors, and upon application of 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA).
Inventor of techniques related to DNA/RNA sequencing (“hMerIP-seq” published in Science, 2016. “DREAM-seq”,
in revision), and extensive experience with Next Generation Sequencing technology.
- Strong leadership skills: mentoring several students and one research assistant during PhD and postdoc.
- Team working as exemplified by several co-first author publications.
- Epigenetic skills to study chromatin and DNA modifications (e.g. ChIP-seq or DIP-seq).
- Study of structural conformations of DNA and RNA (R-loops).
- Highly experienced with cell culture and mouse work (international FELASA certification).
- Versatile: diabetes study à virology à epigenetics à epigenetics & DNA/RNA
structures .
