He graduated in medicine from the University of Pavia with a surgical theses entitled "Primary and secondary liver tumors. He graduated from University High School of the University Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia with a theses entitled: "Cogito ergo sum". He completed his general surgical specialization at University of Pavia with a theses entitled "Fundoplication after Heller myotomy: a retrospective comparison between Nissen and Dor". He is a member of the Italian Society of Surgery (SIC [Società Italiana di Chirurgia]). He is a Ph.D. student in Internal Medicine and Medical Therapy at University of Pavia and “Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza” Hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia, Italy) (Research Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Unit of General Surgery II-Thoracic Surgery) with a research project entitled: “Molecular alterations in lung cancers”
His research interests concern the whole of general surgery. Recently I concentrated his studies in the following fields: lung cancer, thyroid cancer, esophageal achalasia, hyperhidrosis.
