Dr. Alma Rus Research intersts includes Study of nitric oxide system and oxidative stress during hypoxia/reoxygenation in several organs (heart, lung, kidney, cerebellum, striatum). Effect of inhibitors of nitric oxide synthases in the processes of cell damage and death during hypoxia/reoxygenation. Study of angiogenesis, neuroinflammation, neuronal cell death, and neurogenesis during aging and/oracute hypoxia. Effect of antioxidant compounds and nitric oxide donors duringbrain ischemia/reperfusion. Effect of different olive oils on the oxidative status of patients with fibromyalgia.
