Dr. Pandey received his Ph.D. from Lucknow University, Lucknow, India in 2005 in the area of Biochemistry. He has multidisciplinary research experience and is an author of several papers in the field of Endocrinology, hormones and aging in international top peer reviewed medical journals including Endocrinology, journal of Endocrinology, journal of Nutritional biochemistry and Gastroenterology, Journal of Leukocyte Biology and Enzyme and Microbial Technology. He has attended several scientific meetings, national and international conferences. Dr. Pandey was awarded by the President of Endocrine Society at 90th annual international conference of the Endocrine Society; San Francisco, California-USA for his research work on hormones and male aging entitled "An Autocrine Loop Involved in Cyclooxygenase-2-Dependent Inhibition of Steroidogenic Acute Regulatory Gene Expression in MA-10 Mouse Leydig Cells". Presently, he has been working on identifying mechanisms relating to Cyclooxygenase-2-Dependent male aging and possibilities for its reversal via induction of StAR (Steroidogenic Acute Regulatory) gene expression using natural substances found in food (flavanoides) to improve the health of aging males and to explore the possibility of delaying their aging process.
His research work focuses on natural food flavanoides, their antioxidative properties and their protective roles in mitochondrial dysfunction in age related neurodegenerative diseases.
