Dr. Abid Irshad is working as an Associate Professor in Medical University of South Carolina. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Director of breast imaging at MUSC, Medical director mammography(2003-2005).He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Member advisory editorial board of Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Manuscript reviewer for ‘Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine’, ‘American Journal of Radiology’ and the journal ‘Transplantation’, Journal of clinical imaging science, annals of transplantation. He has Presented over 35 abstracts and papers at various national / international radiology meetings in USA including RSNA, AIUM, AUR and ARRS between 2005 and 2010 research articles/books. He is a member of American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM),Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society of Breast Imaging (SBI), South Carolina Medical Association (SCMA). He has honoured as Received a ‘Golden Apple Award’ for the best teacher of the year in radiology at MUSC in 2007.
